AFTER-SCHOOL

Time For You Playcare After School

At Time For You Playcare, our mission is to provide families with a safe, fun and educational environment while encouraging children to understand the importance of values, health and their community. Each childs development should be fun, challenging at times, however the good should outweigh the bad. At Time For You, we are dedicated to making each activity, game, and day as exciting and comfortable as the next for every child here in order to guide them in their own personal growth journey.

What We Do Each Day

We offer a wide variety of activities and choices for students, which allow them to pursue their interests in a setting that also addresses their developmental and educational needs. Each day your child will be given the choice to…
  • Enjoy a healthy snack
  • Have structured time to complete homework and read
  • Take part in large motor play, dramatic play, arts and crafts and team building activities
  • Participate in curriculum enrichment activities

Homework Help

We understand our families live very busy lives, so having your child get their homework done and done correctly each day is a huge help! Our Homework Help is something we take pride in. All of our staff members who work in our after school program also work at Shenendehowa Central schools as Special Educations aides. Each staff member works in a different grade classroom, so we are familiar with all age homework assignments. Everyday, your child will have the option to work in a quiet room with a smaller teacher to child ratio of 1:5, allowing all of their questions to be answered and having their homework thoroughly checked.

Get Out And Get Moving!

Our facility is set on a few acres of land, and we have a wonderful outdoor space for the children to get out and get moving every day! We have a half-court basketball court, a mini soccer field, ample amounts of play space and we even start our garden in the Spring time. We know sometimes the weather prevents us from getting fresh air, however in the winter months, we create fun activities to continue large motor play/exercise. An example of this is our Spring Fitness Challenge. During this challenge, children have an exercise they must complete each day in order to earn their “Checkmark” for their chart. At the end of the month, we reflect on what they have learned, exercises that were tough, fun, and some activities they would like to do more!
